Eyre is pissing me off.

Seriously, what is up with this dude? He's ultimately cost us no fewer than two games.

No excuses, Izzy.

We brought you here for your defense, you little elf-man. So what do you do? You pump on a routine throw to first and the runner beats it out. As a result, your team loses. Of course, we can't take all the blame away from Eyre for melting after that, but still. Well, I guess we can't really complain; at least Izzy's not injured, right? *knocks on wood*

Announcements

Just a quick update on what's going on with the comic. We've been cranking out these comics fairly quickly due to an abundance of down time on our parts. Unfortunately, responsibilities have caught up with us, and we won't be able to keep up the pace of 5 comics a week. This does not mean we are abandoning the comic. In all likelihood we will still be posting 3 comics a week. In other news, we have created a myspace page. If you read the comic, we encourage you to send us a friend request. As always, if you want to contact us, you can reach us at cubscomic@gmail.com.

I'm going to be frank with you folks: we need an audience. To anyone who reads this comic, please tell your friends about it, especially if they're Cubs fans.

Airport Encounter Part I

3,2,1 LAUNCH

Welcome Cub fans young and old to the Friendly Confines, a web based comic created by long time Cub fans Sean Steffen and Ernie LoBue. As you have probably guessed by now, the comic will center around the Chicago Cubs. As far as we know (feel free to correct us) this has never been done. We hope the comic will be embraced by the Cub community, because quite frankly the comic is created specifically for for the Cub community. It is also our goal to allow as much input from readers as possible. Feel free to critique comics or voice approval by commenting on posts. If you have any ideas that you think would make the comic better feel free to email us at cubscomic@gmail.com . You can even send in your own Cubs comic, and we'll try to post them. Please make sure they don't suck.

Unfortunately, due to lack of artistic talent, the comic is not hand drawn. I personally like the format we are using, however it does have its limitations. We are hoping to get an artist so we can throw in hand drawn comics here and there. If anybody is interested in drawing a few strips every now and then for the site please contact us at cubscomic@gmail.com.
